Who counts as "old"? At least one character in the pairing must be above the age of 50, and can be aged up for the purposes of the zine.Note an important expansion for the vol. 3 theme: ageless, young-looking immortals/supernaturals/etc. are acceptable as the old man character, as long as they are above the age of 50 and highlight themes and character traits relating to age, ie, outliving loved ones and familiar things, existing outside the standard flow of time, wisdom from ancient experience or a sense of anachronistic identity. This includes plot devices like rebirth of an older person into a younger body, beautiful ancient monsters, cultivation settings in danmei, etc.Character traits that are traditionally thought of as "old" are still welcome and encouraged. That includes signs of aging (grey hair, wrinkles, etc.) and a changing body.The pairing needs to be M/M (or more if it's poly). We aim to deliver finely aged yaoi. Gender presentations of any kind are welcome, as long as they identify as men in some way! NSFW is not required, but welcome.**Note: "aged up" does not mean that all characters need to be 18+ for this zine. Proceed at your own discretion and don't judge others for what they contribute.
Submissions of previously unpublished works are welcome, as well as new works developed for the zine! To accommodate more participants, we are limiting submissions to one fic OR 2 art pieces per person, or one fic plus illustration of that fic by the same person. Collaborations between participants are encouraged.Writing: Max 3,000 words, following the theme and pairing guidelines. Any format, from poetry to drabbles to long fic welcome. Writers can find an outside beta or ask mods/other contributors for editing help.
Art: Minimum one piece of finished art - some kind of greyscale or color rendering is required! Portrait layout. Full page (8.5 inx11 in) or half pages (8.5 inx5.5 in) allowed. A full page spread is also fine (17 inx11 in). Scanned images are welcome if they are clear. 300dpi preferred for ease of formatting but 72dpi is fine. PNG, PSD, or TIFF formats preferred. 2 full pages of art max, please unless you're doing a single, multi-page comic as your only submission.
Other: For anyone interested in offering digital assets (like icons, wallpapers) in addition to the zine, we can accommodate that!Submissions using generative AI to produce art and writing are not allowed.

Please be prepared to provide content tags like you might on AO3 to help people decide if they want to view your content.Keep in mind that this is a multi-fandom zine that heavily features NSFW content. There may be things you don’t personally like but we ask you to respect your fellow creatives and keep it to yourself.
